Job summary

Oracle Corporation's Government Defense & Intelligence group seeks a Cloud Solution Engineer to partner with Department of Defense accounts, owning technical relationships from discovery through deployment. You will architect cloud solutions, demonstrate capabilities, and drive modernization initiatives within mission-critical workloads.

The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence three days a week in the Washington DC area, with a focus on Army programs and secure, AI-enabled cloud

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in solution engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with major hyperscale cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP); OCI experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Experience with DoD procurement processes, RFIs/RFPs, and complex evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with named DoD accounts and collaborate with account executives.
• Lead technical discovery to understand missions, environments, priorities, and requirements.
• Architect cloud solutions for programs of record, modernization initiatives, migrations, and new workloads.
• Design and deliver technical demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept tailored to customer requirements.
• Lead contributions to RFIs, RFPs, formal evaluations, and complex government procurements.
• Translate mission and program requirements into reference architectures and roadmaps.
• Remain engaged after award to help deploy workloads and drive adoption and expansion.
• Develop relationships with engineers, program offices, and senior technical leadership.
• Incorporate customer feedback into Oracle solutions including AI workloads.
