Job summary

TJ Consulting Group seeks a Cloud Engineer to support USTRANSCOM at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and securing cloud architectures that meet DoD policies while enabling scalable, resilient services.

The candidate will drive migration and modernization efforts for IL5/IL6 environments, work with JWCC, and provide guidance on cloud solutions, governance, and client interactions. Strong AWS and Linux skills are required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; 4+ years of experience; active DoD Secret clearance.
• AWS Architect certification and DoD cloud experience are highly preferred.
• Proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and AWS cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Providing hands-on development and implementation of cloud solution architectures with focus on security, scalability, and resiliency.
• Plan, migrate, re-platform, integrate, and operate IL5/IL6 cloud environments for JWCC and on-prem enclaves.
• Ensure CSOs align with DoD cloud policy and guidelines.
• Provide detailed information for hardware/software selection and data migration techniques to meet business needs.
• Develop and conduct testing of cloud and virtualization systems.
• Maintain expertise in cloud computing standards and AWS offerings, including networking and DNS deployment.
