Job summary

The JAAW Group LLC seeks a Cloud Engineer to support secure, mission-critical cloud infrastructure for DoD customers at Hill Air Force Base. You will administer, maintain, monitor, and improve AWS and Azure environments while ensuring security, availability, and reliability of cloud services.

Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to meet DoD security requirements. Build automation with PowerShell, Python, and Bash, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2–4 years of cloud engineering, cloud administration, or IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Provision and manage cloud resources, user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, and system issues while minimizing downtime.
• Support cloud application deployments and CI/CD pipeline operations.
• Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Assist with routine platform maintenance, patching, and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure DoD security compliance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configurations.
• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance cloud operations and reliability.
