Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support DoD AI and cloud solutions from our Fairfax, VA offices and designated locations. The role emphasizes secure, cost-effective operations in AWS GovCloud, Azure Gov, and hybrid environments.

The Cloud Engineer will work on an integrated technical team supporting AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure, and classified environments, with responsibilities including IaC, containerization, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required; active TS clearance.
• Bachelor of Science in a technical field or equivalent.
• 3+ years IT infrastructure, systems administration, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on AWS experience with IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPCs, subnets, security groups).
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD; GitLab preferred.
• Ability to obtain SCI access and CI polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and services within AWS and other supported cloud environments.
• Support Linux systems administration including configuration, patching, troubleshooting, package management, services, permissions, logging, and security hardening.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or comparable tooling.
• Support containerized applications and platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Support CI/CD and DevOps workflows using GitLab or comparable tooling.
• Implement and maintain AWS services such as IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, load balancing, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Lambda, RDS.
• Support cloud security and compliance activities including IAM, encryption, security groups, and patching.
• Troubleshoot cloud, Linux, networking, container, and application infrastructure issues.
• Develop and maintain system configuration, architecture, operating procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Monitor system health, logging, alerting, and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and Government representatives to deliver technical solutions.
• Evaluate customer issues and provide recommendations to senior engineers.
• Support technical solution development, demonstrations, and proposal activities.
• Must be a US Citizen.
