Job summary

RTX's Simulation and Training Solutions group in Sterling, VA is seeking an Electrical Engineering II to contribute to development, modification, integration, and testing of training simulators for military and commercial use. You will perform electrical analysis, schematic design, power budgeting, and manage cabling and interconnect design.

Travel up to 15% may be required, and a DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Degree in STEM and 2+ years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, integrate, test, and document moderately complex electrical hardware.
• Capture, analyze, and create requirements for medium complexity electrical components.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Software and Systems Eng to ensure electrical design aligns with the project.
• Participate in integration and test of designs and subsystems.
• Prepare hardware development processes and utilize the appropriate tools.
• Use independent judgment to make day-to-day decisions.
• Report status on technical performance, cost, and schedule.
• Support customer reviews and meetings.
• Role is onsite.
• Travel up to 15% to customer sites.
