Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Electrical Engineering II in Sterling, VA to develop, modify, integrate, and test training simulators for military and commercial use. You’ll handle electrical analysis, schematic design, power budgeting, and cabling/interconnect work on hardware throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Mechanical, Software, and Systems teams, manage documentation, and support customer reviews, with onsite work and up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Active DoD security clearance preferred and ability to obtain/maintain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, integrate, test, and document moderately complex electrical hardware with limited supervision.
• Capture, analyze, and create requirements for medium complexity electrical designs.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Software and Systems Engineering to align electrical design with project objectives.
• Participate in cross-functional integration and testing of designs and subsystems.
• Maintain electrical design documentation and provide status updates on performance, cost, and schedule.
