Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Drafter/CAD Operator to support a new DoD contract in Bedford, IN. You will create and update Technical Data Packages, draft drawings using Solid Edge, and collaborate with manufacturing engineers, technicians, and customers to document design requirements.

The role is onsite in Bedford, IN and requires US citizenship with a Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one. A related degree or equivalent experience is required, with a target salary range of $40,001–$80,000 per

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• High School Diploma or GED with minimum 3 years related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency with 3D parametric CAD software required.
• Hands on mechanical/electro-mechanical knowledge and ISO procedures familiarity.
• Attention to detail with clear professional communication.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team with precise instructions.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify detailed drawings using Solid Edge CAD software.
• Develop and update Technical Data Packages per military and industry standards.
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, technicians, and other personnel to capture design intent.
• Work independently and with others to implement design and documentation changes.
• Perform moderate to complex drafting and documentation tasks.
• Use measurement tools to aid design development and verification.
• Ensure drawings/documentation comply with standards and procedures.
• Prepare professional correspondence and clearly convey complex ideas.
• Support project milestones and program schedules.
