Job summary

RQ Construction's Carlsbad, California team is seeking a licensed Architect to fill the Design Project Manager role within our Architecture department, supporting DoD design-build projects. You will coordinate across disciplines and lead technical design from schematic through construction documents, ensuring code compliance and client representation on multiple active projects.

This role requires solid leadership, extensive Revit proficiency, NCARB (preferred), and ten years of experience in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture is required.
• Licensed/Registered Architect is required.
• NCARB certification is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' experience delivering construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems.
• Experience with DoD projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from schematic design through construction documentation.
• Coordinate across disciplines including fire protection, civil, structural, MEP, and IT.
• Ensure code compliance and strong client representation.
• Serve as a technical leader within the design group.
