Datadog is seeking a Documentation Manager to lead a team of 3–5 technical writers and partner with Product and Engineering to deliver high-quality public documentation for APIs, SDKs, and developer tools. You will research technical details, interview SMEs, and ensure docs meet standards while mentoring your team remotely across North America.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience researching and developing documentation for technical topics.
• 2–5 years experience managing a small team of technical writers, coaching performance and planning projects.
• Publicly available technical writing samples required.
• Comfort reading multiple programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, Go, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Manage 3–5 technical writer direct reports and oversee day-to-day activities.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to create and maintain public docs for APIs, SDKs, developer tools.
• Research technical details by interviewing SMEs and exploring code sources.
• Collaborate with the Documentation team to improve standards and processes.
