The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is hiring for a Document Imaging Specialist Work Lead for a position within its Document Imaging department at our headquarters location in Richmond, VA. This position is open to current DMV employees only. This position is responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying driver license and title applications and supporting documents submitted from DMV Customer Service Centers, DMV Selects, Dealers, and DMV work centers statewide. The role ensures all documents are accurately prepared, scanned, verified, and entered into DMV’s electronic systems. Additionally, the position is responsible for maintaining scanning equipment, performing quality control, leading team efforts as needed, and supporting various office tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations. The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles. In addition, DMV serves a wide array of businesses, including dealers, fuels tax customers, rental companies, driving schools, other state agencies, local governments, and non-profit organizations.
