Epitec is seeking a Document Controller to support a fast-paced engineering environment in Portland, OR. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate technical documentation and drawing records, supporting construction package issuance, processing as-built documentation, and ensuring records are properly stored and distributed.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable learning new technology, and skilled at identifying and resolving documentation discrepancies. Utility industry experience is not required.
Required Qualifications
An early priority in this role will be becoming proficient with Autodesk Vault and QuickBase so you can efficiently prepare and issue construction packages. Success will require accuracy, organization, strong problem-solving, and the ability to navigate multiple document-management systems.
Epitec connects talented professionals with opportunities where they can put their skills to work on meaningful projects. This Document Controller opportunity offers hands‑on exposure to engineering documentation, records management, and construction support systems while collaborating with technical teams in an onsite environment.
Posting note: I intentionally left compensation out because the notes provide a supplier bill rate, but no valid candidate pay rate. The supplier/customer bill rate should not appear in a public Epitec posting. I also removed the end‑client name and internal buyer, coordinator, accounting, submission, and cost‑allocation information.
What I changed: I consolidated the repetitive source material, corrected rough wording such as "Detail Prone," converted the responsibilities into scannable candidate-facing bullets, and moved the first-month priorities and must-haves higher in the post so candidates can quickly assess fit.
