Crane Company seeks a Document Control Technician to manage and archive the organization’s documents, ensuring compliance with PED, ISO 9001, API/Q1 standards and customer requirements. You will coordinate document packages, maintain databases, and support quality initiatives with the QA team.
Responsibilities include change control, template updates, and assisting with training and meetings. Strong organizational skills and detail orientation are essential for timely delivery.
Responsible for creating, managing, tracking, and storing the company’s documents. They scan, image, organize and maintain documents, adhering to the company’s document records and control procedures. Additionally, they archive inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule. Most commonly, the position requires the retrieval of documents from suppliers, customers, and employees to prepare documentation packages (i.e., Material Test Reports, Non-Destructive Test Reports, Paint Reports, etc.) as required by the customers purchase order(s), all while organizing these in a timely manner to meet the customer’s needs. As required, the document technician creates new templates and updates procedures. Infrequently, helps Quality Manager with meeting minutes, training employees on records and/or documentation and assists with administrative tasks as needed. Lead/Support quality improvement initiatives as per IATF 16949-2016 to achieve set sigma level for value stream. Guide production team on issue resolution using knowledge relevant to your department specialties.
