Job summary

Modular Power Solutions, LLC is seeking a Document Control Specialist to collect, maintain, and distribute project documents and assist staff at all levels. Responsibilities include filing, records management, reports and presentations, and tracking RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

The role requires an Associate degree in Business Management or related discipline and at least 1 year of document control experience, preferably in construction.

  • Computer, filing, and 10-key skills required.
  • Attention to detail is necessary; strong analytical skills favored.
  • Discretion and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive matters and documentation.
  • Proficient with Computer and Microsoft Office; Oracle preferred.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Work under pressure with a positive attitude; strong communication skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
  • Interact effectively with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Manage documentation, compliance reporting and all filing system developments.
  • Assists in preparation of reports and Power Point presentations; development and updating of project administrative procedures and in maintenance of project manuals and library.
  • Tracks and manages the resolution of RFI’s, submittals, and change orders.
  • Reviews, logs, and acts upon incoming and outgoing documents associated with project.
  • Input daily project information into the computer system.
  • Works with Construction Management Team to prepare and submit monthly reports.
  • Archives all project records and maintains record keeping of such documents.

YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY

The Document Control Specialist is responsible for collecting, maintaining, and distributing all project documents. This position will assist all levels of staff on a project.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

WHAT YOU BRING TO US
  • Associate degree in Business Management or related discipline
  • Minimum 1-year previous document control experience, preferably in a construction environment
  • Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

General work environment – sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is typically low to medium. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. We fully comply with the ADA and applicable state law, including considering reasonable accommodation measures that may enable qualified disabled applicants and employees to perform essential functions.
