The role requires 5+ years in finance/accounting (construction/manufacturing preferred), strong project accounting knowledge, and proficiency with Oracle and Microsoft Office. 20% travel may be involved.

The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for providing reviews and analysis of project costs and budgets with Division Managers to ensure reasonable presentation in company financials. Determine risk factors and present findings to Finance Management Mentor and train junior members of the Cost Accounting Dept. Review, analyze and prepare company revenue forecasts for distribution to executive management. Support development of current systems and policies/procedures (Oracle PM tools, finance forms, etc.). Assist in the development, implementation and/or maintenance of cost accounting systems related to collection and analysis of job costs and/or budgets. Prepare subsidiary accounting and financial documents for divisions including CACs, backlog, invalid time reports and budgets. Prepare various cost/statistical reports for corporate management as required/requested. Prepare financial data for inclusion in bid proposals, and other similar packages. Perform internal audits. Assist Project Management in resolution of costing issues. Travel to regional offices to support operations, conduct month‑end reviews, and train operations staff on finance procedures and systems.

General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite. We fully comply with the ADA and applicable state law, including considering reasonable accommodation measures that may enable qualified disabled applicants and employees to perform essential functions. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
