Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, including CAD standards and layer management.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work with architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain site plans and building drawings across electrical, mechanical, piping, P&ID, and related systems.
  • Manage centralized document repositories for secure organization and accessibility.
  • Provide requested information to internal stakeholders from document repositories.
  • Update CAD drawings with field changes and as-built documentation.
  • Follow document control procedures for creation, revision, approval, storage, and distribution of controlled documents.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Facilities, Manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to resolve documentation issues.

Job Description :
Position Overview

The Document Control Support professional will be responsible for maintaining, organizing, updating, and distributing architectural, engineering, and facility documentation. This role will support document control activities across construction, engineering, facilities, laboratory, and manufacturing environments while ensuring drawings and records remain accurate, current, and compliant with established standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and documentation requests in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain site plans and building drawings, including electrical, mechanical, piping, plumbing, process, P&ID, instrumentation and control, evacuation, and fire protection drawings.
  • Maintain centralized electronic and physical document repositories to ensure documents are securely organized and readily accessible.
  • Search document repositories and provide requested information to internal stakeholders.
  • Incorporate project close-out documentation into as-built records and update CAD drawings provided by Construction and Engineering teams.
  • File project close-out documentation and maintain applicable permit records.
  • Review and correct incoming CAD files for layering, formatting, and established drawing standards.
  • Develop detailed drawings from sketches, layouts, field notes, and other engineering or construction information.
  • Support drawing development for tool installations, laboratories, specialized facilities, and manufacturing areas.
  • Conduct field audits and measurements to verify the accuracy of existing and newly developed drawings.
  • Update drawings based on field changes and measurements.
  • Update electrical panel schedules and single-line drawings based on field modifications.
  • Support integration of CAD and facility documentation with computerized facilities/workplace management systems.
  • Follow document control procedures for the creation, revision, approval, storage, and distribution of controlled documents.
  • Gather and review documents required for plotting accurate, to-scale equipment templates.
  • Process facility work requests and maintain status updates within applicable facilities management systems.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Facilities, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to resolve documentation issues and maintain accurate records.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an AutoCAD Designer/Drafter or in a similar document control/drafting role.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and work with architectural and engineering drawings.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial environments.
  • Experience with electrical power analysis software such as EasyPower.
  • Experience with facilities integrated workplace management systems such as TRIRIGA.
  • Experience with CAD integration and facility documentation management systems.
  • Experience performing field verification and maintaining as-built documentation.
