Responsibilities

  • Create & maintain Quality Control Plans, PFMEA and Process Flows for new product launches and engineering changes to existing product lines.
  • Manage ECN process and updates all necessary documentation.
  • Quality Job (1st pc books) including Beach Quality ECN Check Sheets, Historical Data, FPI, Red Tag control, customer correspondence, deviations, and booking.
  • Manage POM Books (Process Operating Manuals) including Point & Touch, Packaging Instructions, Attribute Charts, In-process Inspection sheets, Work Instructions, Gage Instructions, Operator Sign off Sheets.
  • Maintain Gemba Boards and oversee sorting, rework, hold tags, and incident reports.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by manager, may include internal auditing and incoming inspection.

Summary/Objective:

Compiles and maintains control records and related files pertaining to PSI production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates & maintains quality Control Plans, PFMEA and Process Flows for new product launches and engineering changes to existing product lines.
  • Manages ECN process and updates all necessary documentation (all necessary information in next bullet point).
  • Quality Job (1 st pc books):
    • Beach Quality ECN Check Sheets, Historical Data, FPI (First Piece Inspections), Tool Red Tag (ensure red tags are attached to book), Create a Red Tag, Customer Correspondence (emails, PSW’s), Deviation, Book Job #
  • Manages POM Books (Process Operating Manuals) for production such as:
    • Point & Touch, Packaging Instructions, Attribute Charts, In-process Inspection sheets, Work Instructions, Gage Instructions, Operator Sign off Sheets.
  • Maintain Gemba Boards
  • Set-up and administer Sorting, rework activities (hold tags & incident reports)
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by manager.
    • May include Internal Auditing
    • May include Incoming Inspection
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working in a manufacturing environment, which may not be temperature-controlled.
  • May stand for long periods of time.
  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts, with a moderate noise level.
