MTI in Greenville, SC is seeking a Production Control Coordinator (PCC) to manage the flow of materials from receiving through production to customer delivery, ensuring documentation accuracy and adherence to quality standards.

The role supports manufacturing efficiency by ordering, storing, and maintaining hardware and tools, with shift flexibility and a 10% night shift differential once night shift begins.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of material handling or manufacturing experience.
  • Must meet ITAR definition of US Person; documentation required.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Record, track, and maintain documents, data, and records for inventory management and part flow.
  • Outstanding organization skills, detail orientation, time management, and communication skills.
  • Basic computer navigation and data entry skills.
  • Ability to organize, verify, and schedule outgoing shipments.
  • Accurate and competent use of all equipment related to inventory management, shipping and receiving.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Participate in cross-training with other departments to gain additional skills.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and document information clearly.
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Overtime flexibility, including weekends when required.
  • Must communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • MTI is a safety-sensitive environment; pre-employment drug testing required.
  • 1-3 years’ material handling or manufacturing experience.
  • Familiarity with MPCS is a plus.
  • Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with shop personnel to ensure timely service and prevent machine downtime.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and transactions.
  • Documenting machine parts usage and ordering.
  • Stocking shelves/cabinets with incoming parts.
  • Cleaning and organizing stock room.
  • Managing fixtures, tags, and revisions.
  • Assigning and checking in/out equipment to employees.
  • Ordering supplies through web utility.
  • Assisting Receiving with paperwork/count discrepancies.
  • Receiving, storing, and issuing consumables to employees.
  • Gauging calibration management.
  • Scanning paperwork to electronic archives as needed.
  • Performing miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.
  • Package and ship hardware per instructions.
  • Manage deliveries and receipt of materials.
  • Incoming inspection of hardware.
  • Facilitate movement of hardware to areas.

Night Shift Position: Training will take place on Day Shift for up to 3 months. Once night shift schedule begins, a 10% shift differential will be added to the base hourly rate.

Job Function:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Production Control Coordinator (PCC) is responsible for flow of materials, parts, and assemblies beginning from the receiving dock, throughout various departments, to outside vendors, and complete to customer, in accordance with customers' delivery requirements. The PCC must have critical attention to detail and supports manufacturing efficiency by ordering, storing, issuing, and maintaining all hardware and tools used in the manufacturing process. The PCC will be responsible for verifying all documentation is accurate and complete, communicating delivery information internally and externally, maintaining supplies, and other duties. Will adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicating effectively with shop personnel to ensure timely service and prevent machine down time

  • Performing miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year material handling or manufacturing experience
  • Must meet ITAR definition of US Person(s)-Documentation Required

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, move throughout the facility, bend at the waist and knees, squat, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate. The employee must frequently lift/or move 35 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
