Job summary

A. Duie Pyle, Inc. in York, PA is seeking a part-time outbound dockworker to safely load and unload freight, verify paperwork, and operate forklift or pallet jack as needed.

The role offers starting pay of $22.75 per hour, rising to $23.75 after 12 months, with weekly pay and a 401(k) with company match plus profit sharing. A high school diploma is preferred, with forklift experience preferred and strong safety and communication skills required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift or electric pallet jack.
• Pick, stage, and secure freight inside trailers for safe transport.
• Use document management systems to track shipment locations throughout the terminal.
• Communicate with terminal personnel and drivers to coordinate activities.
• Maintain a flexible schedule including day, night, weekends and holidays.

A. Duie Pyle is seeking a Part-time Outbound Dockworker to join our team in York, PA. This role is responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via the electronic and manual systems. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Previous experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment, preferred
• Prior experience in warehousing, freight, and/or logistics preferred
• Ability to safely operate equipment and follow all company and government safety rules and regulations
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively

Dockworker responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment – forklift or electric pallet jack
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to insure safe transport
• Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work
• Operating with a customer service first mentality
