Job summary

A. Duie Pyle, a family-owned logistics leader based in York, PA, is hiring an Inbound Dockworker to safely move freight and verify paperwork. This full-time role offers stable shifts, and opportunities for growth in a growing logistics network.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, load/unload trailers, and coordinate with drivers while maintaining safety and quality standards. Excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift or material handling experience preferred.
• Experience in warehousing or logistics preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift or pallet jack.
• Pick, stage, and secure freight inside trailers.
• Use document management systems to track freight locations.
• Communicate with terminal personnel and drivers.
• Maintain a flexible schedule including day/night shifts, weekends/holidays.
• Operate with a customer-service mindset.

Job description

A. Duie Pyle is seeking a full-time Inbound Dockworker to join our team in York, PA. This role is responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via the electronic and manual systems. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

• Earn $23.55 + $0.70 shift differenital. Rate will increase to $29.05 after 1 2 months of employment

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Previous experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment, preferred
• Prior experience in warehousing, freight, and/or logistics preferred
• Ability to safely operate equipment and follow all company and government safety rules and regulations
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively

Dockworker responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment – forklift or electric pallet jack
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to insure safe transport
• Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work
• Operating with a customer service first mentality
