Job summary

A. Duie Pyle, Inc. is seeking a full-time Inbound Dockworker to join our Johnston, RI team. Responsibilities include safely loading/unloading freight, operating forklifts, and verifying documentation. Forklift experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is recommended.

Position offers competitive hourly pay with shift differential, weekly pay, and benefits. Overtime after 40 hours, plus vacation, PTO, holidays, 401(k) matching, and life insurance are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Previous forklift experience or ability to operate material handling equipment, preferred.
• Prior experience in warehousing, freight, and/or logistics preferred.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and follow all company and government safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment - forklift or electric pallet jack.
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to ensure safe transport.
• Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal.
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Operating with a customer service first mentality.

Job description

A. Duie Pyle is seeking a full-time Inbound Dockworker to join our team in Johnston, RI. This role is responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via the electronic and manual systems. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

Why Pyle?

• Earn $24.30 per hour + .70 shift differential. Rate will increase to $29.00 + .70 shift differential hourly rate after 12 months of employment


• Start time & schedule: 1:00 AM; Tuesday to Saturday


• Weekly pay every Friday via direct deposit - overtime after 40 hours
