Job summary

BSP Trans, Inc. in Bangor, ME is hiring a Full-Time 3rd Shift Dockworker and Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team.

This hands-on role involves loading, unloading, and sorting freight with pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring secure trailer stowage, and adhering to safety policies on a non-climate-controlled dock. You will lift up to 50 lbs frequently (and more than 70 lbs occasionally), perform basic math, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must complete a county level background check during onboarding.
• Dock/warehouse experience in transportation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to move materials.
• Secure freight inside trailers and ensure trailer safety.
• Adhere to company safety policies on a non-climate-controlled dock.
• Perform basic math as part of daily tasks.

BSP Trans, Inc. has been providing the Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont areas with outstanding LTL transportation services since 1970. At BSP, our team consists of a six-terminal network across our coverage area to ensure swift deliveries for customers.

We're currently hiring a Full-Time 3rd Shift Dockworker and Forklift Operator to join our growing warehouse team. If you're looking for a hands-on warehouse career with consistent weekday hours, competitive pay, and excellent benefits, we'd love to meet you.

What you will do on a typical shift:

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods of time and may be slippery
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally
• Be able to do math with and without a calculator

What you need at a minimum to succeed at BSP:

• Strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a high paced team-oriented environment with great communication skills
• To be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a successful completion of a county level background check during onboarding

It would be great if you also have:

• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry
• Forklift experience in a freight/less-than-truckload environment
• Experience loading and unloading trailers
• Desire to succeed with a strong attention to detail
