Job summary

BSP Trans, Inc. in Bangor, ME is hiring a Full-Time 3rd Shift Dockworker and Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This hands-on role includes loading, unloading, palletizing freight, and operating forklifts in a fast-paced environment.

You will work Monday through Friday with a 1:00 AM start time, follow safety policies, pass a background check, and meet the minimum age requirement. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, life insurance, disability, a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a high paced team environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass onboarding background check.
• Forklift and dock/warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load, unload, sort and palletize freight.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack as needed.
• Secure freight and adhere to safety policies.
• Work on a dock with varying conditions and weights.
• Perform basic math as required.

BSP Trans, Inc. has been providing the Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont areas with outstanding LTL transportation services since 1970. At BSP, our team consists of a six-terminal network across our coverage area to ensure swift deliveries for customers.

We're currently hiring a Full-Time 3rd Shift Dockworker and Forklift Operator to join our growing warehouse team. If you're looking for a hands-on warehouse career with consistent weekday hours, competitive pay, and excellent benefits, we'd love to meet you.

What you will do on a typical shift:

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods of time and may be slippery
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 70 lbs. occasionally
• Be able to do math with and without a calculator

What you need at a minimum to succeed at BSP:

• Strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a high paced team-oriented environment with great communication skills
• To be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a successful completion of a county level background check during onboarding

It would be great if you also have:

• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry
• Forklift experience in a freight/less-than-truckload environment
• Experience loading and unloading trailers
• Desire to succeed with a strong attention to detail
