Portside Bar & Grill at Perry Marina is seeking a Dockside Delivery Attendant to deliver to-go orders to boats and dockside locations with a smile and efficiency.

This fast-paced, guest-facing role blends restaurant food-running speed with dockside hospitality; strong communication, teamwork, and physical stamina are essential.

Position involves 3 days per week, with shifts from 1–9pm, and requires up-to-date food handler and alcohol service certifications within 30 days of hire.

• 18 years or older.
• Experience as a runner/busser or customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening.
• Food handling or responsible alcohol service certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Excellent guest service and problem resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverage orders from the restaurant to boats and dockside locations promptly.
• Greet guests courteously and confirm dock numbers and special instructions.
• Verify order accuracy, temperature and completeness before leaving the kitchen and at delivery.
• Navigate the marina safely and follow all safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery equipment and staging areas.
• Assist with bussing and restaurant support during slower dockside periods.
• Resolve issues with guests and escalate to management when help is needed.

Job Summary:

Dockside Delivery Attendant delivers to-go food and beverage orders to boat owners and their guests at the marina docks, with a smile, quickly and accurately. This is a fast-paced, guest-facing role that combines the speed of restaurant food running with the hospitality of dockside service. The Delivery Attendant is often the only face-to-face contact a boater has with the restaurant, so a friendly, professional presence is essential. Maintain cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You must have strong communication skills, physical stamina, and work well in a team environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service: Deliver food and beverage orders from the restaurant to boats and dockside locations promptly and in excellent condition.

Hospitality: Greet and interact with boat owners and guests courteously, confirming slip/dock numbers and special instructions.

Accuracy: Verify order accuracy, temperature, and completeness before leaving the kitchen and again at delivery.

Safety: Navigate the marina safely on foot and/or by motorized mode of transportation while carrying orders. Follow all food-safety, alcohol-service, and marina safety protocols.

Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery equipment, carts, and staging areas.

Busser/Runner: Assist with general food-running, bussing, or restaurant support duties during slower dockside periods.Cleaning and resetting tables, and maintaining sanitization standards.

Trouble Shoot:Resolve issues as they come up in a respectful manner maintaining guest satisfaction and escalating concerns to management when they need help.

Certifications:Maintain up to date certification for Food Handler Safety Certificate and Alcohol Service Certification as required by State of Florida.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Age Requirement:18 years or older
• Experience:Previous experience as a runner /busser , customer service role is often preferred.
• Interpersonal Skills:Strong verbal communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Skills:Strong communication, multitasking
• Flexibility:Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Certifications:Food handling or responsible alcohol service certifications (e.g., TIPS) required within 30 days of hire
• Time Management:Strong time management skills to multi task, be able to provide quick yet hospitable service.
• Customer service:Handle routine questions and use proper guest resolution skills to solve problems while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for long periods
• Lift up to 25–30 lbs.
• Must be able to use a Golf Cart or Scooter
• Able to be nimble; walk with purpose and in a fast environment
• Reach, stoop or bend for items in storage or in the freezer, liquor room etc, occasionally.
• Tolerance for outdoor environment with exposure to sun, rain or inclement weather
