Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator in Leesburg, VA to lead dock activities, ensure safe trailer movements, and partner with operations, transportation and customer teams. The role emphasizes accountability, process discipline and customer service excellence.

Weekend shift framing and outdoor work are required. Candidate will support dock operations, ensure compliance with safety standards, and contribute to 7S and yard organization while using MS Office 365 and Google

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environments.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in fast-paced operations.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Follow defined safety processes and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication for customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock-related equipment.
• Coordinate loading/unloading dock activities and trailer movements.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow per standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe situations.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customers.
• Maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
• Align dock activities with process guidelines and safety standards.
• Support 7S workplace organization.
• Perform regular visual inspections to identify risks or delays.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership.
