Job summary

The Salvation Army National Capital Area is seeking a Dock Foreman in Hampstead, NC. This role supervises and participates in the operation of the bailer and forklift, ensuring the dock and warehouse are maintained orderly. You'll oversee the evaluation of donated appliances and materials, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.

This position requires a High School diploma or G.E.D., along with a minimum of one year of warehouse experience. There is also a requirement for forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to sort and determine the suitability of donated items.
• Ability to ensure the warehouse and dock area and equipment are maintained in a neat, orderly, and secure manner.
• Physical ability to lift and carry moderately heavy materials, supplies, and equipment frequently.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in the operation of the bailer and forklift.
• Ensures that all premises are secured at the end of the workday.
• Operates a forklift and trains others in its use.

Education
