Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line seeks a Dock Supervisor to lead daily dock operations, ensuring safety and efficiency across the freight network. You will supervise teams, utilize OD’s technology, and uphold standards for safety, quality, and service.

The role requires supervisory experience, DOT/OSHA knowledge, and strong communication. Location is Montebello, CA, with full-time hours and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advancement.
• 2 years working operations experience preferably in transportation.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of AS400, Microsoft Office, DYMS and BLU systems.
• Knowledge of general DOT regulations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate employee safety on a daily basis.
• Oversee safe and efficient loading/unloading of freight.
• Teach and reinforce safe lifting techniques.
• Maintain shift housekeeping for safety and productivity.
• Supervise dock employees and allocate staff and equipment.
