Job summary

Saia Motor Freight Line LLC seeks a seasoned Dock Supervisor to oversee terminal operations, including sorting, loading, and unloading freight, across all dock staff.

You will direct, train, and coach dockworkers, ensure DOT and safety compliance, review reports, and drive efficiency and customer service. The role requires leadership, hands-on monitoring, and readiness for varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Read, write and communicate in English to perform shipping documents and reports.
• Experience in warehouse, dock, freight or forklift operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overviews safe and efficient dock operations for all terminal staff.
• Directs and evaluates dockworkers to ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to procedures.
• Conducts daily inspections to maintain compliance with company policies, DOT standards and regulations.
• Trains and coaches dockworkers on safety practices, operational performance, customer service and equipment usage.
• Reviews operational reports and provides recommendations to improve terminal efficiency and service.
• Promotes and enforces a safe, clean and organized dock environment.
