Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a warehouse supervisor to lead a team, overseeing shipping, receiving, storage and distribution. The role emphasizes efficient operations, safety, and adherence to policies, with responsibility for training and evaluating warehouse staff.

Rules and procedures are enforced, while productivity is maximized through effective coaching. The position may involve light travel and requires a strong grasp of inventory controls and warehouse safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4–6 years of relevant experience, or 1–3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Understanding of safe receiving, storing, requisitions, shipping and delivery.
• Basic knowledge of inventory procedures.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Up to 5% travel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises warehouse operations and employees.
• Schedules inbound and outbound arrivals.
• Maintains dock presence and inspects work in progress.
• Enforces policies and procedures; trains and evaluates personnel.
• Maintains safety, security, and cleanliness throughout the facility and property.
• Oversees unloading/loading and minor furniture repairs as needed.
• Performs duties to achieve objectives and goals.
