Job summary

Voltava is seeking a Dock Coordinator to maintain safe, efficient material flow at our Michigan facility. You will coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, returns, and dock equipment while meeting production and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of dock, warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material-handling experience.
• Clerical, administrative, or data-entry experience.
• Customer service experience, preferably in automotive or manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive issue-resolving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across functions.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily inbound receiving and outbound shipping activities with data entry.
• Coordinate outbound shipments including finished goods, PPO orders, returnables, and expedited shipments.
• Monitor finished goods inventory and make shipping decisions based on requirements.
• Manage returnable container inventories, shipments, and related documentation.
• Coordinate Hi-Lo driver activities and equipment leases and maintenance.
• Maintain FIFO and proper staging/rotation of materials.
• Coordinate supplier returns including scrap and rework materials.
• Oversee dock repairs and maintenance.
• Manage dunnage returns and pallets.
• Coordinate expedites to support production and customer needs.
• Identify disruptions and take proactive action to resolve issues.
• Keep accurate records and ensure safety compliance.
• Learn and use new systems and processes.
• Collaborate with warehouse, materials, production, transportation, and customer teams.
