Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Material Handler for our Bethlehem, PA area. The role involves pulling customer orders from the warehouse and staging/loading at the loading dock.

Essential duties include operating a forklift and order picker, using a hand-held scanner, and ensuring quality and safety standards. Experience with forklift/cherry picker is preferred, with 6 months to 1 year in related roles. Excellent English is required.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year related experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand English
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Good hand and eye coordination
• Ability to follow oral and written communication from supervisor, lead or co-worker
• Forklift/Cherry Picker Experience

Responsibilities

• Manually pick and stage correct warehouse items at the loading dock location
• Use of hand-held scanner to locate items and move them to appropriate dock door
• Move damaged or non-conforming items to reclaim or RTV area
• Use of forklift and order picker is required
• Conduct activities safely and adhere to safety standards
• Inspect products to meet quality standards and ensure accuracy
• Maintain housekeeping and organization on loading dock and warehouse aisles
• Strive to meet team efficiencies for items pulled without compromising accuracy
• May assist in unloading or loading trucks when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned
