Job summary

Comstock Holding Companies, Inc. in Reston, VA is seeking a Full-Time Dock Master (Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm) to manage loading dock schedules and ensure smooth deliveries. You will coordinate trucks, movers, and ensure safety for doors and floors.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, coordinating on-site vendors, maintaining security licensure, and providing excellent customer service while upholding company values. This role supports property management and operations teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of security or Dock Master experience.
• Security officer certification in DC/VA/MD required.
• Valid driver's license, with clean record.
• Ability to work after hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate arrival and departure of moving trucks on site.
• Schedule and monitor on-site movers for moves.
• Protect doors and floors during deliveries.
• Report incidents to the property manager as needed.
• Perform daily inspections and deliver reports to the manager.
• Maintain cleaning schedules with vendors.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by property manager.
• Ensure licensing for security officers to the required state.
• Coordinate security operations for the property.
• Maintain equipment with regular preventive care.
