Job summary

Sea Island Company in Sea Island, GA seeks a guest services/retail associate to maintain dock and office housekeeping, supervise equipment, answer calls, and assist in scheduling fishing, boating, and watersports activities.

You will help monitor inventory, tag and price merchandise, assist with sales, and build familiarity with guests, including regulars and Members, to ensure an incomparable experience. Duties include daily close-outs and reporting, with attention to Sea Island’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper housekeeping on dock and office area
• Supervise fishing equipment is in proper working order
• Answer incoming telephone calls
• Assist scheduling fishing, boating, and watersports activities
• Assist in monitoring overall inventory levels of merchandise, restock when needed
• Assist with physical inventories
• Ensure all merchandise is correctly tagged and priced
• Assist in selling merchandise and customer service
• Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members
• Assist with guest activities on the dock to provide an incomparable experience
• Assist with daily retail sales
• Record and bill orders accurately into the register system using guest/member cards
• Assist with daily close-out procedures and delivery of reports and cash to revenue control
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s ability
• If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
• Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
• Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
• Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
• Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
