FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a dock associate in Indiana to transport freight across the dock area to and from trailers. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, secure freight, and ensure accurate freight documentation is completed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck as needed.
• Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazmat) using the system.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
