FedEx Freight in Livermore, CA is seeking a dock/freight handler to move freight between dock and trailers. You will operate forklifts and manual equipment, verify paperwork, secure loads and assist customers with documentation.

Must be 18+, with a high school diploma preferred and prior warehouse or forklift experience. This role involves lifting heavy loads, working in a fast-paced dock environment, and potential hostling duties as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing, freight handling and/or forklift experience preferred.
• If hostler/yard mule duties required, experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight of varying weights several times a week, etc.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, pushing/pulling freight throughout shift.
• Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
• Previous dock/warehouse experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck to move freight.
• Verify freight documentation matches description.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
