Job summary

LiftOne is seeking an experienced Dock and Door Road Technician in Macon, GA to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair loading dock equipment and doors, and to perform preventative maintenance on customer equipment. The role includes managing paperwork and maintaining a company van and inventory.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, welding certification or apprenticeship/3 years welding experience, and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be a certified welder or obtain certification within 30 days.
• Welder apprentice level or 3 years welding experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend regulations and instructions.
• Ability to perform duties at elevated heights.
• Basic computer/tablet knowledge.
• Valid driver license with clean record.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify the problem based on customer concern and locate the failure.
• Perform repairs safely and efficiently and test equipment.
• Travel to locations for on-site service.
• Make repairs with customer approval and perform basic maintenance as needed.
• Document job completion, parts, time, and repairs.
