Job summary

DuraServ is seeking a Technician I to install, maintain, and repair commercial door and dock equipment at customer sites. The role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, a safety-first mindset, and a commitment to customer service.

Work is performed both independently and with the team to complete service calls and installations. Candidates should have an apprentice-level background or Level 1 assessment, and a high school diploma or trade certification.

Qualifications

• Apprentice level coursework or higher related to welding, mechanical, or electrical systems.
• Level 1 assessment approved per Advance program.
• High School Diploma preferred; trade school certificates acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain commercial dock and door equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems on site at customer locations.
• Read and interpret manuals and diagrams for diagnostics and installation.
• Document service activities and parts used for each job.
• Communicate status updates clearly to customers and teammates.
