Job summary

Henderson Scott US seeks a Lead Construction Superintendent to lead a $200M ground-up high-rise residential project in New York City. You will supervise field operations, coordinate trades, and ensure safety and quality from inception through completion.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years of experience in urban high-rise construction, deep knowledge of NYC building codes, and a proven ability to manage schedules, logistics, and multi-disciplinary teams on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of construction experience.
• Ground-up high-rise residential projects (20+ stories).
• Proven track record leading projects from inception through completion.
• Strong knowledge of NYC building codes, scheduling, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage site from groundbreaking to project completion.
• Oversee day-to-day field operations and subcontractor coordination.
• Communicate with subcontractors on progress, scheduling, changes, and deliveries.
• Identify and address design deficiencies, scheduling concerns, and site challenges.
• Maintain project schedule and ensure milestones are met.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards on job sites.
• Coordinate inspections with NYC codes and regulations.
• Communicate with ownership, CM, PMs, and consultants.
• Coordinate deliveries, site logistics, and manpower planning.
• Ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.

About the Company
Our client is an established General Contractor with a strong track record delivering mid-rise and high-rise residential projects throughout New York City. They are seeking an experienced Lead Construction Superintendent with a proven history of managing ground-up residential projects from inception through completion.

Key Responsibilities
The Lead Construction Superintendent will:

• Manage the job site from groundbreaking through project completion
• Oversee day-to-day field operations and subcontractor coordination
• Communicate and meet regularly with subcontractors to assess project progress, scheduling, changes, and deliveries
• Proactively identify and address design deficiencies, scheduling concerns, and site challenges
• Maintain project schedule and ensure milestones are met
• Enforce safety protocols to ensure job sites consistently meet or exceed OSHA safety standards
• RFI logs
• Daily reports
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with NYC building codes and regulations
• Communicate effectively with ownership, construction managers, project managers, and consultants
• Coordinate deliveries, site logistics, and manpower planning
• Ensure project quality standards and deadlines are achieved

Qualifications
The ideal Lead Construction Superintendent will have:

• Minimum 10+ years of construction experience
• Strong experience managing ground-up high-rise residential projects (20+ stories required)
• Proven track record leading projects from inception through completion
• Strong knowledge of:
