Job summary

Henderson-Scott in New York City is seeking a Lead Construction Superintendent for ground-up high-rise residential projects. You will manage the job site from groundbreaking through completion, coordinate subcontractors, monitor safety, quality, and schedules, and report progress to ownership and project managers.

This full-time, on-site role requires 10+ years of experience with 20+ story developments and a proven track record delivering complex urban projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience
• Ground-up high-rise residential projects (20+ stories) experience
• Inception through completion project leadership
• Strong knowledge of NYC building codes, safety practices, scheduling and budgeting
• Experience in urban construction environments
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to commute to project sites across New York City

Responsibilities

• Manage the job site from groundbreaking through project completion
• Oversee day-to-day field operations and subcontractor coordination
• Communicate regularly with subcontractors on progress, scheduling, changes and deliveries
• Address design deficiencies, scheduling concerns, and site challenges
• Maintain project schedule and ensure milestones are met
• Enforce OSHA safety standards on all sites
• Maintain RFI logs and daily reports
• Coordinate inspections and NYC code compliance
• Coordinate deliveries, site logistics and manpower planning
• Ensure project quality standards and deadlines are achieved

They are seeking an experiencedLead Construction Superintendentwith a proven history of managing 30+ story ground-up residential projectsfrominception through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the job site from groundbreaking through project completion
• Oversee day-to-day field operations and subcontractor coordination
• Communicate and meet regularly with subcontractors to assess project progress, scheduling, changes, and deliveries
• Proactively identify and address design deficiencies, scheduling concerns, and site challenges
• Maintain project schedule and ensure milestones are met
• Enforce safety protocols to ensure job sites consistently meet or exceed OSHA safety standards
• RFI logs
• Daily reports
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with NYC building codes and regulations
• Communicate effectively with ownership, construction managers, project managers, and consultants
• Coordinate deliveries, site logistics, and manpower planning
• Ensure project quality standards and deadlines are achieved

Qualifications

• Minimum10+ years of construction experience
• Strong experience managing ground-up high-rise residential projects (20+ stories required)
• Proven track record leading projects from inception through completion
• Strong knowledge of:
