Henderson Scott US is recruiting a Lead Construction Superintendent for ground-up high-rise residential projects in New York City. The role requires overseeing major sites from groundbreaking through completion, coordinating multiple subs, and maintaining safety and schedules.

You will manage logistics, enforce safety, and ensure adherence to NYC building codes while communicating with owners, PMs, and consultants to deliver quality, on-time projects in a dense urban environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience required.
• Ground-up high-rise residential projects (20+ stories) experience.
• Proven track record from inception through completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures, NYC building codes, scheduling, safety, budgeting and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee job site from groundbreaking to completion.
• Coordinate day-to-day field operations and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, schedule, changes and deliveries with subs.
• Address design issues, scheduling concerns and site challenges.
• Ensure safety protocols and OSHA standards are met.
• Maintain project schedule and milestones.
• Prepare RFI logs and daily progress reports.
• Coordinate inspections and NYC code compliance.
• Liaise with ownership, PMs, managers, and consultants.
• Plan deliveries, site logistics and manpower requirements.
• Ensure quality standards and deadlines are achieved.

Our client is an established General Contractor with a strong track record delivering mid-rise and high-rise residential projects throughout New York City. They are seeking an experienced Lead Construction Superintendent with a proven history of managing 30+ story ground-up residential projects from inception through completion.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm with a strong pipeline of ground-up high-rise residential projects across New York City.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Construction Superintendent will:

• Manage the job site from groundbreaking through project completion
• Oversee day-to-day field operations and subcontractor coordination
• Communicate and meet regularly with subcontractors to assess project progress, scheduling, changes, and deliveries
• Proactively identify and address design deficiencies, scheduling concerns, and site challenges
• Maintain project schedule and ensure milestones are met
• Enforce safety protocols to ensure job sites consistently meet or exceed OSHA safety standards
• RFI logs
• Daily reports
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with NYC building codes and regulations
• Communicate effectively with ownership, construction managers, project managers, and consultants
• Coordinate deliveries, site logistics, and manpower planning
• Ensure project quality standards and deadlines are achieved

Qualifications

The ideal Lead Construction Superintendent will have:

• Minimum 10+ years of construction experience
• Strong experience managing ground-up high-rise residential projects (20+ stories required)
• Proven track record leading projects from inception through completion
• Strong knowledge of:
