Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a seasoned backend engineer to help build and operate scalable cloud infrastructure in a Bellevue, WA environment. You will design and implement distributed services in Python, optimize Linux systems, and contribute to cloud-native tooling across multiple data centers.

The role emphasizes on-call reliability, modern CI/CD practices, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-availability solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of backend software development experience (Python) with Cloud Architecture.
• Strong Linux Systems Administration and Troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Proficient in OOP, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools, frameworks, workflows, and validation platforms on our public cloud platforms.
• Design, develop, and operate resilient distributed systems across multiple data centers.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and write microservices on containerization frameworks such as Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos.
• Resolve complex technical issues to improve system availability, resilience, and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotation to address issues and keep services running smoothly.
