Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced backend engineer to drive cloud infrastructure on a large-scale platform. You’ll develop resilient distributed systems, write infrastructure as code, and deliver microservices on Kubernetes and other container platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience with Python.
• Hands-on Linux systems administration and cloud architecture.
• Strong Python knowledge including OOP, patterns, data structures, concurrency.
• Public cloud experience on AWS/GCP/Azure; scalable infra/migration.
• Experience with open source tools and automation.
• Expertise with Kubernetes and containerization (Docker).
• Practical use of Terraform, Spinnaker, Puppet, or similar tools.
• Monitoring and observability with Grafana or equivalent.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins or Travis CI.
• Familiarity with network and security basics (DNS, load balancers, SSL).
• Experience with Agile and Test Driven Development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools and validation platforms.
• Design and operate resilient distributed systems across data centers.
• Develop infrastructure as code and write microservices on containers.
• Resolve complex technical issues to improve availability and performance.
• Support live-site management, feature delivery, and technical debt retirement.
• Participate in on-call rotation to keep services operational.
