Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, data science, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant research experience in research-data management, bioinformatics, or lab data operations.
• Experience with high-throughput sequencing data is strongly preferred.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run and develop FoodSeq bioinformatics pipelines for DNA sequencing data.
• Perform QC on sequencing runs and identify technical variation.
• Manage sample and cohort metadata across projects.
• Integrate sequencing data with lab data storage and project systems.
• Produce datasets and metrics to support manuscripts and grants.
• Document workflows and maintain version-controlled code.
• Train junior personnel in data-management practices.
