Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life-science or related field plus four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination. A related master's degree may offset required experience.
• Strong technical and scientific writing ability is central to this role; ability to synthesize findings across concurrent studies.
• Experience in genomics, the microbiome, or nutrition preferred; ability to write persuasively under deadlines and length constraints.
• Experience with AI workflows (LLM-based tools for research, writing, or analysis) is a plus; willingness to experiment with AI-based approaches to scientific writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory findings for publication and progress reports, including reviewing raw data and contributing to figure design.
• Draft and edit technical writing to describe the lab's research and prepare manuscripts for publication.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation of methods, analyses, and results; help edit and strengthen trainees' writing.
• Independently evaluate and interpret research data and prepare reports on project progress and conclusions.
• Confer with the Principal Investigator on research plans and interpretation across studies.
