Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience.
• Equivalents (education and experience) may be considered.
• Texas Forensic Science Commission Forensic Biology Technician License is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform extractions, quantification, amplifications, and load samples on genetic analyzers for casework.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and performing calibrations and maintenance as needed.
• Maintain proficiency by completing two external proficiency tests per year as required by standards.
• Provide court testimony as required.
