Job summary

The University of North Texas Health Fort Worth Center for Human Identification (CHI) seeks a Forensic Analyst to perform DNA analysis on evidence and provide expert testimony as needed. This role supports CHI's recognized standards in forensic genetics and casework.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related forensic science, and a Texas Forensic Science Commission license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related forensic science with coursework in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, and statistics.
• Texas Forensic Science Commission license required.
• Maintain two external proficiency tests per year as required by national standards.
• Submit transcripts with application.

Responsibilities

• Casework examination following QA manuals and procedures.
• Data analysis, interpretation of results, and reporting for serological and DNA results.
• Provide expert witness testimony as required.
• Participate in validation and laboratory projects.
• Maintain proficiency through continuing education.
