Job summary

Lithia & Driveway in Calabasas, CA is seeking a DMV Specialist to ensure accurate out-of-state title work and timely submissions. You will handle DMV paperwork, coordinate with vendors and state DMVs, and communicate status updates to customers and partners.

The role reports to the Title and Registration Supervisor and sits within a Fortune 500 automotive retailer committed to growth, collaboration, and total rewards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; 18 years or older required.
• Clear understanding of nationwide DMV processes and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring paperwork is completed accurately before submitting to DMV
• Coordinates delivery of DMV paperwork to appropriate vendors or state DMV
• Processes correction requests, communicating with customers and/or internal partners to obtain necessary documents
• Communicates with vendors and/or state DMVs to obtain status updates
• Follows up with internal partners regarding missing items required to submit DMV documents for processing
• Coordinates shipment of plates to customer
• Communicates timely, regular status updates as required
• Other duties as assigned

The DMV Specialist has a working knowledge of multiple state DMV processes and guidelines. The DMV Specialist is responsible for preparing out of state title work accurately and ensuring that out of state title work is submitted within a timely manner. The DMV Specialist reports to the Title and Registration Supervisor.

Location: Calabasas, CA Monday- Friday 8am - 5 pm

Compensation Range: A typical starting range of $30/hr -$32/hr . Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
