Entry Machine Operator

Duncan Stewart Plant

Job Description:

The Entry Machine Operator reports to the area supervisor and is cross-trained in warping, creeling, and backwinding. The duties will vary between these areas depending on demand.

Overview:

The Entry Operator is responsible for creeling packages, operating the winders, loading and unloading yarn, and performing all safety, quality, and production requirements involved in the position.

Capabilities Needed:

1. Able to understand yarn labels and tell the difference between various types of yarn
2. Able to load yarn from the conveyor into buggies or onto carts and push
3. Able to rack yarn in creel on 6 levels of arbors, which includes bending and reaching
4. Able to stand for extended periods of time
5. Able to go up and down stairs
6. Able to follow instructions, including training instructions such as standard work, creel boards, diagrams of creel, and verbal instructions from management.

Work Schedule:

8am – 6pm, M-F is a typical work week. This can extend to Saturday if needed for production needs.
