Job summary

Sanford Health in Minnesota is seeking a DME Clerk to provide first-line communication with patients, referral sources, and clinicians to facilitate ordering and delivery of durable medical equipment. You will process inquiries, obtain authorizations, educate patients on plans and coverage, and assist with billing and store operations.

You will balance cash, handle deposits, and ensure accurate sale orders and delivery tickets while maintaining a clean, stocked store.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong MS Office and computer skills.
• Prior experience with home medical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line communication with patients, referral sources, and clinicians to facilitate ordering and delivery of DME products.
• Process inquiries and orders via in person, phone, fax, or email with accurate patient information.
• Obtain prior authorizations and educate patients on insurance plans, coverage and provisions.
• Balance cash drawer, prepare deposits, and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• May be required to work after store hours in an on-call capacity.
