QUIPT HOME MEDICAL INC in Wilder, KY is seeking a dependable Call Center Agent to support DME billing and accounts receivable. The role emphasizes accurate claims processing, patient communication, and adherence to Medicare guidelines.

A strong ability to read medical terminology and work with teammates is essential. Responsibilities include verifying eligibility, submitting CMS 1500 forms, reconciling billing errors, and maintaining timely payments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medical coding and/or billing certification preferred but not required.
• Prior experience preferred but not required; training available.
• Ability to pass a Federal background check.
• Must be able to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, coordinating and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Read, write, speak and understand English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand medical terminology.
• Review clinical documentation for Medicare guidelines compliance.
• Verify payor source and insurance eligibility.
• Validate ICD-9/10 codes as appropriate for products dispensed.
• Apply correct modifier and HCPCS to claims.
• Submit accurate claims using Brightree billing software.
• Reconcile billing errors daily.
• Complete CMS 1500 claim forms as required.
• Manage accounts receivable to maintain payments within 90 days.
• Adhere to monthly closing timeline requirements.
• Maintain communication with management and co-workers.
• Attend meetings/conference calls as required.
• Possess working knowledge of software related to DME.
• Maintain compliance with all regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
