Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a driver to perform basic route services in Tulsa, OK. You will pick up and deliver specimens, verify test requisitions, and maintain specimen integrity using proper handling methods.

You will build positive client relations, complete daily logs, and assist with packing specimens for transport to the Core Laboratory while adhering to safety policies and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Proficient in verbal communication with internal and external contacts.
• Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a medical laboratory setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Primary duty is to perform basic route services as required.
• Pick up specimens and verify that requisitions are filled out correctly and specimens submitted properly.
• Deliver specimens to designated laboratory/distribution site using proper handling and transportation methods.
• Establish and maintain positive client relations.
• Complete and submit administrative forms such as daily route logs and special transportation forms.
• Help with packing of specimens for transport to the Core Laboratory.
• Maintain compliance with safe driving regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Adhere to DLO policies and procedures, including attendance, compliance and safety.

Job Description

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO)

Location: Tulsa, OK

Hours: Monday-Friday 12:30pm-9pm

Essential Functions

• Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
• Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities
• Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday
• Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment

Responsibilities

• Primary duty is to perform basic route services as required.
• Pick up specimens and verify, within established parameters, that the test requisitions have been filled out correctly and that the specimens have been submitted properly.
• Deliver specimens to designated laboratory/distribution site using appropriate handling, storage, and transportation methods, including the use of transport containers, dry ice, cold packs, etc., to maintain specimen integrity.
• Establish and maintain positive client relations.
• Complete and submit all administrative forms such as daily route logs, Client Concern forms, supply requisitions and special transportation forms.
• Help with the packing of specimens for transport to the Core Laboratory.
• Maintain compliance with all safe driving regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures as established by government agencies and company policies.
• Adhere to DLO policies and procedures, including attendance, compliance and safety.

Required Experience:

Proficient in verbal communication with internal and external contacts. Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal skills. Previous Medical Laboratory experience is a plus.
